A Twisted Outlook

Born in March 1982, Matthew Elliott is the bastard son of Princess Anne. Too ashamed to face her mother, The Queen of England, Princess Anne placed young Matthew in the hands of the local circus at only 2 days old.

There, he was raised by a ringmaster called Papa Lazarou. Papa Lazarou thought of young Matthew as one of his own and it was not long before he legally adopted him as his son and renamed him “Dave”. Matthew or “Dave” as he was now known, went on to work in the circus as a tight-rope worker – his strong upper body strength and female like legs ensured he was the most successful in the UK – and in 1995 at the age of 13, saw Dave go on a world tour.

Unfortunately this meant leaving his Father and Mentor behind. Papa Lazarou was distraught and offered Dave all the pegs in the world to stay, but alas he was determined to head abroad and chase his dream, of walking on tight ropes in the Big Smoke – New York City.

Upon his arrival, Dave stumbled on a problem, New York City had been renamed Metropolis and he was not to work in a Circus, he was to save the world. You see the Americans knew of his amazing ability to tightrope walk and knew they could use this to their advantage in an attempt to “Bring Terrorism to its Knees”. So they took Dave prisoner, brainwashed him and realised him back into society as “Superman” – he spent the next 7 yrs helping his new country fight Terror in Afghanistan, Iraq and France.

However, although he felt the urge, no the need, to help the US government, something in the back of his mind told him it was wrong. And in 2004, with the help of a Lois Lane, Superman, AKA Dave, AKA Matthew, got his hands on a powerful ring, which when destroyed would end this saga. Superman, AKA Dave, AKA Matthew, returned to his native United Kingdom and upon stumbling across a deadly lake, called “The Burn” he was able to destroy the ring and end his pain.

In June 2004, under the power of the British Legal system, he renamed himself Matthew Elliott and moved to Newcastle, however despite not finding this “New Castle” he settled down and got a job in a High-Street Bank.

Now, affectionately known as "Maddie" (because his old football coach said "Matty" so fast that it sounded like "Maddie"), he has not forgotten his past and regularly tight ropes his way into the financial market and can be seen to fight crime – but only on a weekend!!!
