Other Attractions
There's more to Orlando than the big name attractions, some of which are just as enjoyable, if not more.
Here is a rundown of some of the best attractions that you may not know about. |
Wet 'n Wild
In my opinion, still the best water park in Orlando. Placed on International Drive, you can see it from a fair distance because of the height of some of the slides. |
Highlights include the Bubba Tub (one for the whole family), Bomb Bay - an awesome near vertical drop after falling through the floor of a bomb shaped capsule when it gives way, the Black Hole, where you go down in pairs in the dark, and the Fuji Flyer - a fast paced sled type waterslide. A must-visit waterpark.

Medieval Times
You'll experience all the action and romance of the middle ages as you enjoy a four course medieval feast (bare hands necessary) while you enjoy a live jousting performance. |
Located in Kissimmee, Medieval Times takes place in a Medieval castle, which you can tour before tucking in to your feast.
Church Street Station
This is essentially an entertainment complex in the mould of Disney's Downtown Disney and Universal's City Walk. |
Built around Orlando's original train station, Church Street Station features beautiful cobbled streets and gives you a feel for the olden days. Full of shops, fine entertainment and restaurants, it's a good day or night out.
Skull Kingdom
The best haunted attraction in Orlando, especially since Terror on Church Street closed down. |
Skull Kingdom is a walkthrough attraction located on International Drive, with live actors and top class sets to scare the living hell out of you. One of the best attractions of it's kind in the world.
Wonderworks
Located at Pointe Orlando, which is also a hotspot for shopping and dining, Wonderworks is a unique attraction for many reasons, if not solely for the fact that it is built upside down. |
It is built along a storyline that it was turned over in a hurricane, so when you look to the "roof", you actually see a door and trees growing down towards you from the uprooted ground.
It is an interactive attraction, with allsorts of technology inside for you to play with. |
There are many, many more attractions in Orlando, but I could go on forever. Just get your hands on a good map and don't be afraid to ask people things. You'll find the Floridian folk more than helpful.
